On May 4, 2021, the Higher College of Electronics and Communications took part in the annual Interstate Distance Student Research Conference "Development of the Communications Industry during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference was held on the basis of the "College of Radio Engineering and Communications" of the East Kazakhstan region.
The goal: to form among students a sense of patriotism and pride for their country, for the past of their people and homeland, an objective and historically truthful description of the development of the sphere of communication and heroism of signalmen during the Second World War.
The conference was attended by 42 students from colleges of East Kazakhstan region, the Russian Federation, Almaty; Pavlodar, Aktobe, Karaganda, etc.
Podtikhov Maxim, a student of the group S-318 presented a work on the topic "A medal for a fight, a medal for work are poured from one metal" (head of Gordeev Tamara Fedorovna).
The speech revealed the role of liaison warriors in the combat situation, and, most importantly, the significance of its results. Speed and timeliness of transfer of reports, orders, orders and commands depended on accurate work of operators. The contribution of the signalmen to the general feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War will never be forgotten.
